VANNA PHUONG Vichea

Research Associate

I am a driven professional with a related background in regional development, environmental assessment, and quantitative analysis. My academic foundation rests on a Master’s degree in Global and Regional Development from TOYO University in Tokyo, Japan, where my research highlights on the economic feasibility of establishing waste transfer station in Phnom Penh City. This research sparked my interest in finding sustainable solutions for complex development challenges. Prior to joining CDRI, I gained valuable experience in diverse fields which include teaching English at ACE and working as technical consultant at the Bureau of Environmental Assessment, who supported and delved into the technical aspects of formulating, analyzing, and compiling comprehensive State of the Environment Reports. This role laid the groundwork for the understanding of environmental impact assessment and data analysis.
